- 1 pound potatoes
- 1 pound parsnips
- 1/2 cup horseradish
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Peel and chop the potatoes and parsnips.
- Boil them together in salted water until tender.
- Drain and mash the potatoes and parsnips together.
- Stir in horseradish, butter, salt, and pepper.
- Spread the mixture into a baking dish.
- Top with breadcrumbs.
- Bake at 375°F for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add garlic powder to the mash.
- Can be made ahead of time and baked just before serving.
