Description

A deliciously sweet and tangy sauce made from fresh strawberries, perfect for drizzling over desserts.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and halved
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice


Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine the strawberries, sugar, and lemon juice.
  2. Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently, until the strawberries release their juices and the mixture starts to bubble.
  3. Simmer for about 10 minutes until slightly thickened.
  4. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  5. Puree the mixture in a blender or with an immersion blender until smooth.
  6. Strain the sauce through a fine-mesh sieve to remove seeds, if desired.
