Description

A classic Italian dish featuring tender steak simmered in a rich tomato sauce with herbs and spices.


Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (28 ounces) crushed tomatoes
  • 1 tablespoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped


Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Season the steak with salt and pepper, then sear in the skillet for 3-4 minutes on each side until browned.
  3. Add garlic and sauté for 1 minute.
  4. Pour in crushed tomatoes, oregano, and red pepper flakes. Stir to combine.
  5. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 1 hour.
  6. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
