Description

Perfectly cooked steak using the sous vide method results in tender and flavorful meat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 steak of your choice (ribeye, sirloin, etc.)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 sprigs of fresh rosemary

Instructions

  1. Season the steak with salt and pepper.
  2. Place the steak in a vacuum-sealed bag with olive oil and rosemary.
  3. Preheat your sous vide water bath to the desired temperature (e.g., 129°F for medium-rare).
  4. Submerge the bag in the water bath and cook for 1 to 2 hours.
  5. Remove the steak from the bag and pat dry.
  6. Heat a skillet over high heat and sear the steak for 1-2 minutes on each side until browned.
  7. Let the steak rest for a few minutes before slicing.

Notes

  • For optimal results, use an instant-read thermometer to check doneness.
  • You can add additional herbs like thyme or garlic for extra flavor.
  • Always let the steak rest after cooking to retain juices.
