Description

Deliciously soft and fluffy donuts with a sweet maple glaze, perfect for breakfast or a snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon milk (for glaze)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a donut pan.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. Add the melted butter, eggs, milk, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  4. Spoon the batter into the prepared donut pan, filling each cavity about 2/3 full.
  5. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Let the donuts cool in the pan for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
  7. In a separate bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar and milk to make the glaze.
  8. Dip the top of each donut in the glaze and allow them to set on the wire rack.

Notes

  • Store the donuts in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
  • For a richer flavor, add more maple syrup to the glaze.
