Description

This Sloppy Joe Boule Bowl is a fun and delicious twist on the classic sloppy joe, served inside a bread bowl!


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup onion, chopped
  • 1 cup green bell pepper, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 large sourdough boules
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese


Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat.
  2. Add the chopped onion, bell pepper, and garlic; cook until softened.
  3. Stir in ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, brown sugar, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.
  4. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  5. Cut the tops off the sourdough boules and hollow out the insides.
  6. Fill each bread bowl with the sloppy joe mixture and top with shredded cheddar cheese.
  7. Place the filled boules on a baking sheet and bake for 10-15 minutes, until the cheese is bubbly.
  8. Serve hot and enjoy!
