- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1 tablespoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons fresh rosemary, chopped
- 2 tablespoons fresh thyme, chopped
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 cup beef broth
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C).
- In a small bowl, mix olive oil, salt, pepper, rosemary, thyme, and garlic.
- Rub the mixture over the prime rib roast.
- Place the roast in a roasting pan, bone side down.
- Roast in the preheated oven for 20 minutes.
- Reduce the oven temperature to 325°F (165°C) and continue roasting until the internal temperature reaches your desired doneness, about 1.5 to 2 hours for medium rare.
- Remove the roast from the oven and let it rest for at least 15-20 minutes before slicing.
- Serve with beef broth.
