Description

Delicious and chewy salted peanut butter cookies with a sprinkle of sea salt on top.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup coarse sea salt for topping


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix peanut butter, sugar, egg, vanilla, baking soda, and salt until well combined.
  3. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto a baking sheet, spacing them 2 inches apart.
  4. Using a fork, gently press down on each cookie to create a crisscross pattern.
  5. Sprinkle coarse sea salt on top of each cookie.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
  7. Allow to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • For softer cookies, do not overbake.
  • Try adding chocolate chips for a twist!
  • Store in an airtight container for up to a week.
