Homemade soft pretzel bites that are perfectly chewy and delicious. Great for snacking or dipping!
Ingredients

- 1 cup warm water
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 2 teaspoons instant yeast
- 2.5 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup baking soda
- 1 large egg, beaten
- coarse sea salt for sprinkling
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine warm water, sugar, salt, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
- Add flour and mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough for about 5 minutes until smooth.
- Let the dough rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Preheat oven to 450°F (232°C).
- Boil water and baking soda in a large pot.
- Divide dough into pieces and roll into ropes, then cut into bites.
- Boil pretzel bites for 30 seconds, then transfer to a baking sheet.
- Brush with egg wash and sprinkle with coarse salt.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
Notes
- Serve with cheese dip or mustard for a tasty snack!
- These pretzel bites can be frozen after baking.
