Description

Poulet Yassa is a traditional Senegalese dish made with marinated chicken, onions, and a tangy lemon sauce.


Ingredients

  • 4 pieces chicken thighs
  • 2 large onions, sliced
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 chili pepper, sliced


Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken with olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, mustard, pepper, salt, and chili for at least 2 hours.
  2. Heat a skillet and cook the onions until caramelized.
  3. Add the marinated chicken and cook until browned.
  4. Add remaining marinade and simmer until chicken is cooked through.
  5. Serve hot with rice.

  • For best flavor, marinate overnight.
