Ingredients

- 3 to 4 pounds chuck roast
- 1 packet ranch dressing mix
- 1 packet au jus gravy mix
- 1/2 cup pepperoncini peppers
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 275°F (135°C).
- Place the chuck roast in a Dutch oven.
- Sprinkle the ranch and au jus mixes evenly over the roast.
- Add the pepperoncini peppers and their juice.
- Dab the butter on top of the roast.
- Cover and bake for about 4-5 hours, until the meat is fork-tender.
- Shred the roast with two forks and serve.

- This roast is best cooked low and slow for maximum tenderness.
- Serve with mashed potatoes or on a sandwich.
