Description

Delicious and creamy, these Milk Tea Egg Tarts are a perfect blend of traditional egg tart custard with the fragrant notes of milk tea.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 prepared tart crust
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 tablespoons milk tea leaves
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a saucepan, combine the milk, heavy cream, sugar, and milk tea leaves. Heat until just boiling, then remove from heat and let steep for 10 minutes.
  3. Strain the mixture to remove the tea leaves and let it cool slightly.
  4. In a bowl, whisk together the eggs and vanilla extract. Slowly add the warm milk tea mixture, stirring constantly.
  5. Pour the egg mixture into the tart shell.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the custard is set and lightly browned.
  7. Allow to cool before serving.

Notes

  • For a stronger milk tea flavor, increase the amount of milk tea leaves.
