- 2 large yellow onions
- 1 head garlic
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon fresh chives, chopped
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Peel and halve the onions, and wrap them in aluminum foil with the head of garlic.
- Roast in the oven for 40 minutes or until soft.
- Let cool slightly, then squeeze the garlic out of its skin and chop.
- In a bowl, combine the roasted onions, garlic, sour cream, cream cheese, salt, and pepper until smooth.
- Garnish with chives and serve with chips or veggies.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, add red pepper flakes.
- This dip can be made ahead of time and chilled in the fridge.
