Description

This Cherry Sour Cream Cake is a deliciously moist cake bursting with cherry flavor and a creamy texture.


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

  • 2 large eggs

  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup pitted cherries, halved


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
  2. In a bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, then mix in the vanilla and sour cream.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture until combined.
  6. Fold in the cherries gently.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top.
  8. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
