Description

A creamy and decadent dish made with tender potatoes and a rich sauce, all cooked to perfection in the Instant Pot.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds russet potatoes, peeled and sliced thin
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Grease the Instant Pot insert.
  2. Layer half of the sliced potatoes in the bottom of the pot.
  3. In a bowl, mix heavy cream, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  4. Pour half of the cream mixture over the potatoes, then sprinkle with half of the cheese.
  5. Repeat layering with the remaining potatoes, cream mixture, and cheese.
  6. Close the lid and set the Instant Pot to manual high pressure for 10 minutes.
  7. Allow natural pressure release for 10 minutes, then quick release any remaining pressure.
  8. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add cooked bacon bits between the layers.
  • Let the dish sit for a few minutes before serving to allow the cheese to set.
