- 1 loaf French baguette
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 large onions, thinly sliced
- 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup goat cheese, softened
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Slice the baguette into 1/2 inch slices and brush both sides with olive oil.
- Arrange the slices on a baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes or until golden brown.
- In a large skillet, add the sliced onions, balsamic vinegar, sugar, salt, and pepper.
- Cook over medium heat for about 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the onions are caramelized.
- Spread goat cheese on each crostini, and top generously with the caramelized onion jam.
- Serve warm and enjoy!

- For added flavor, sprinkle fresh herbs like thyme or rosemary on top before serving.
