Description

This Homemade Peppermint Bark is a festive treat made with layers of chocolate and crushed peppermint.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces semisweet chocolate chips
  • 8 ounces white chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • 1/2 cup crushed peppermint candies


Instructions

  1. Melt the semisweet chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl, stirring every 30 seconds until smooth.
  2. Pour the melted chocolate onto a parchment-lined baking sheet and spread it out evenly.
  3. Refrigerate until set, about 30 minutes.
  4. Melt the white chocolate chips and mix in the peppermint extract.
  5. Pour the white chocolate over the set semisweet chocolate and spread it evenly.
  6. Sprinkle the crushed peppermint candies on top and gently press them in.
  7. Refrigerate until completely set, about 1 hour.
  8. Break into pieces and serve.

Notes

  • For a fun flavor twist, add a few drops of food coloring to the white chocolate.
