Description

Delicious half moon cookies, featuring a soft, cake-like texture, topped with half chocolate and half vanilla fondant.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup chocolate frosting
  • 1 cup vanilla frosting


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing well.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with sour cream, until just combined.
  6. Drop the batter by tablespoonfuls onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
  8. Allow cookies to cool completely.
  9. Spread vanilla frosting on one half of each cookie and chocolate frosting on the other half.
