Description

Delicious and spicy Gingersnap Cookies that are perfect for the holiday season.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup molasses
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar (for rolling)


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, baking soda, cinnamon, ginger, cloves, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, beat together granulated sugar, brown sugar, and oil until combined.
  4. Add molasses and egg, and mix well.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, combining thoroughly.
  6. Roll the dough into balls and coat in sugar.
  7. Place on a baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes.
  8. Allow to cool on a wire rack before serving.

Notes

  • For chewier cookies, bake for a shorter time.
