These fudgy banana bread brownies are the perfect combination of rich chocolate and ripe bananas. They’re moist, decadent, and a great way to use up overripe bananas!

- 2 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9 inch baking pan.
- In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas.
- Add melted butter, sugars, eggs, and vanilla extract, and mix until combined.
- In another bowl, whisk together cocoa powder, flour, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Let cool before cutting into squares and serving.
Notes
- These brownies can be stored in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
- For extra fudginess, don’t overbake.
