Ingredients

- 2 cups cooked rice
- 1 pound chicken cutlets or pork cutlets
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup tonkatsu sauce
- 1 cucumber, sliced
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
- salt to taste
- pepper to taste
- oil for frying
Instructions
- Prepare the breading station with three shallow bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with panko breadcrumbs.
- Season the cutlets with salt and pepper, then coat in flour, dip in egg, and finally coat in panko breadcrumbs.
- Heat oil in a pan over medium heat and fry the cutlets until golden brown on both sides, about 5-7 minutes per side.
- Remove and drain on paper towels.
- Slice the cutlets and place them over cooked rice in a bowl.
- Drizzle with tonkatsu sauce and top with cucumbers, green onions, and sesame seeds. Serve immediately.
Notes
- For extra crunch, double dip the cutlets in egg and panko.
- Serve with a side of miso soup for a complete meal.
