- 2 pounds potatoes, thinly sliced
- 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 cup jalapeños, sliced
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large skillet, sauté onion and garlic over medium heat until translucent.
- Layer half of the sliced potatoes in a baking dish.
- Spread half of the sautéed onions and garlic, jalapeños, and half of the cheese over the potatoes.
- Repeat the layers with the remaining potatoes, onions, jalapeños, and cheese.
- Pour the heavy cream over the top layer.
- Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until golden and bubbly.
Notes
- For a spicier dish, add more jalapeños or use spicy cheese.
- Let it sit for 10 minutes before serving for easier slicing.
