Description

A deliciously creamy and cheesy side dish, perfect for any occasion!


Ingredients

  • 2 pounds potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup jalapeños, sliced
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet, sauté onion and garlic over medium heat until translucent.
  3. Layer half of the sliced potatoes in a baking dish.
  4. Spread half of the sautéed onions and garlic, jalapeños, and half of the cheese over the potatoes.
  5. Repeat the layers with the remaining potatoes, onions, jalapeños, and cheese.
  6. Pour the heavy cream over the top layer.
  7. Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
  8. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until golden and bubbly.

Notes

  • For a spicier dish, add more jalapeños or use spicy cheese.
  • Let it sit for 10 minutes before serving for easier slicing.
