Enjoy a delicious combination of sweet and tart with this Apple Cranberry Chutney served on crispy crostini.
Ingredients

- 2 cups fresh cranberries
- 1 cup diced apples
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup chopped onions
- 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 baguette sliced for crostini
Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine cranberries, diced apples, sugar, chopped onions, apple cider vinegar, cinnamon, ginger, and salt.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 20-25 minutes until thickened.
- Meanwhile, preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Brush baguette slices with olive oil and place on a baking sheet.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown.
- Serve the chutney warm on crostini.
Notes
- This chutney can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator for up to a week.
- Great as a topping for cheeses as well!
